On a Dark, Black, Halloween Night…

Robber Bridegroom

This last page of Robber Bridegroom had me stitching with lots of black!  Which is perfect for getting into the Halloween vibe...  It has been a welcomed break from all the confetti encountered over the past few page finishes.  I'm now at the end of the first row, which is an exciting place to be!  This takes my stitch count for this project to 28,080 stitches, or 16.25 percent complete.

In the Shadows

I've added e310 light effects to the hair section (which was not charted).  I phased out the metallic thread in a sloping curve to match where the hair highlights ended.  Otherwise the light effects beyond would have highlighted a section meant to be in the shadows,  which would most likely not look correct!

Time Flies, Just like Witches...

I'm really hoping to get my yearly goals finished.  At the moment I am behind due to stitching extra pages for Challenges.  I still have three pages left to finish.  They are not full ones though, so fingers crossed I can make it!

A Halloween Ornament

To mark the occasion I've charted up a bat design!  To download just click on the picture.  The chart  will also be added as a permanent link on the downloads page.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful time over the coming week and over Halloween!

    1. Thanks Johanna! It is very tricky to capture the full effect of the light effects in a photo! I did a video a little while back, which gave a fuller representation of the effect. I will do another video once more of the project is completed😉

  3. Looks great Megan.. I SO love the details of this work. It is all about black, white and several shades of grey... And the effects are amazing!!

  4. Thank you Natascha. Believe it or not there are mauve, greenish and bluish tones happening in there as well! I like the way the subtlety of those tones is offset by the more neutral colours :D

  5. Wow I love how Robber Bride Groom is stitching up. This one is my 2017 new start (well one of 10 anyway) I'm looking forward to it, you've inspired me. It really looks like a charcoal drawing. Stunning work xo Alicia
