Christmas Spirit, Treasure & Holly & the Ivy

Image
Christmas Spirit I'm delighted to have finished my yearly goal on Spirit of Flight!  The third column is now complete. Reminder of Artwork by Josephine Wall:   Previous Progress: So much confetti on this page!!!: Overall Piece: Christmas Treasures I really wanted to finish the row on Treasure Hunt for the 2019 Goals Challenge.  Since I've been distracted by Spirit of Flight there is little time to get this done.  I've been madly stitching but considering the level of confetti in this it's looking like it might not happen! I'm still going to see how much can be done before the end of the year and will an update on how it goes!  Fingers crossed! Reminder of the Crop, Art by Aimee Stewart: This is where it was at last update: Current progress: Aiming to finish the gridded area! Christmas Butterfly The last butterfly in the Kaleidoscope Collection is the "Holly and the Ivy Butterfly." I created this one with a Christmas influence or inspiration behind...

100 Days of HAED

Image
25 Days of Treasure Hunt I've fallen way behind with my yearly stitching goals...  So when a post for the 100 HAED Challenge came up on my Facebook feed it sounded like the perfect way to get motivated again and catch up!  I've sort of been avoiding my Treasure Hunt crop because it was getting slightly tedious with all that confetti. The aim of this challenge is to stitch everyday though and that has certainly helped progress. I'm going to share the first twenty-five days now! Treasure Hunt Bookshelf by Aimee Stewart (Cropped Version) Reminder: Last Update:   Progress Before start of Challenge (Challenge Day 0):    Progress on Day 10 of Challenge Progress on Day 20 of Challenge; Progress on Day 25 of Challenge: Whole Piece to Date at 64.55% Complete: I'll be switching wips every 25 days for this Challenge.  Some stitchers are opting to work on the same piece for 100 days.  There is so much confetti in Treasure Hunt that I need to brea...

More Treasure Uncovered!

Image
Well, I've been stitching on Treasure Hunt Bookshelf for the past couple of weeks and here is a quick update to show how far it has progressed.  There is a lot of confetti happening, so progress is still moving quite slowly.  Previous progress:   Current progress:    Happy Stitching! xxx

Buried Treasure

Image
Back to Stitching... Treasure Hunt Bookshelf has been buried in my wip pile for awhile, so I decided to get it out and stitch for a bit!  I last worked on this back in June 2015!  With so many wips, it's kind of unavoidable that some of them start to get neglected.   Still it's been such a long time since working on it, that it almost felt like a new start lol! Reminder of the Cropped Version I'm Stitching of Treasure Hunt Bookshelf by Aimee Stewart: Regular Chart by Heaven and Earth Designs: Before & After: Happy Stitching!!! xxx

You Are What You Eat My sister stitched this piece and gifted it to me years ago! I didn’t have a space to hang it at the time so put it away. It got unearthed while sorting through things and I realized it would look great hanging in my kitchen! Silly Snobs Designs "You Are What You Eat" Stitched by Laura Graco 18 count aida 2 over 1 I felt inspired to play around with adding colour to create a bit more excitement… So I experimented with some food dye and added some metallic thread. The separator lines were extended and I added a colour pattern to them in tent stitch! I need to straighten the gold matt but here it is now: More Fish On the subject of fish… I was very lucky to receive Antiquated Thoughts as an Easter RAK from Sandra Popek. I love the goldfish in this! A big thank you to Sandra for her gift! I think this one will make an awesome companion piece to Umbrella Sky with it's goldfish. Antiquated Thoughts by Annie Stegg ...

Some Treasure & A Little More Mystery

Image
Some Treasure: Treasure Hunt is moving along slowly… I’ve started on page five of the cropped chart. Stitching this in conjunction with the Mystery Chart has me suck in a pit of never ending confetti! Previous progress: Current progress:  The hourglass is starting to appear! Update on the Floss Organizer If you haven’t already noticed the Floss Organizer I made has recently been revised.  I added a skein estimator, percentage calculator and fabric calculator. Since the document has become quite fancy, I also created a User Guide to make it easier to navigate through the different sections and see how it all works. These are both available on the downloads page. A Little More Mystery: Here is where the Mystery Chart is at! I’m falling behind with this one and need to get a move on with it! Previous progress: Current progress:  Happy Stitching! xxx
